Collective housing and senior residence - Refurbishment, extension, elevation

The architectural style of the project is designed above all to respect local architecture and to extend the architectural qualities of the town of Neuilly. The aim of the project is to provide the various homes with generous outdoor spaces and to position the openings so that the views are mainly onto the neighbouring garden.

It was clear to us that the architecture had to be sober and elegant, while reinterpreting the codes of existing architecture. We designed façades in a luminous materiality, with soft colours, combined with the presence of wood and stone to integrate the buildings as well as possible into their environment. The materials chosen are both simple and durable.

The buildings form an architectural whole, the homogeneous character of which is underlined by the unity of the treatment of the facades, the sobriety of the materials used and the regularity of the glazed openings.

This sober architectural style ensures that costs and energy performance are kept under control, and emphasises the materiality, constructive and organisational features of the project and the enhancement of the site.

As the project is entirely designed on the edge of the plot and therefore does not benefit from any public space, all the dwellings have large external extensions of an average of 10m², whether they are balconies or loggias on the first four floors. The housing buildings are the same width as the neighbouring office buildings (20.5 metres), and their volumes have been cut out of the mass to create two-metre wide outdoor spaces on each façade.

All the dwellings enjoy distant views over the great Bordeaux landscape, and are not overlooked by other dwellings.
