From the office to home – Paris 15th arrondissement

A transformation into a dense urban fabric

Supported by Seqens (Groupe Action Logement), this project to convert an office block into housing marks the organisation’s first development in Paris FTI (Foncière de Transformation Immobilière). The mixed-use development comprises twenty-nine social housing units and commercial premises, arranged around a garden accessible to people with reduced mobility

A strong commitment to social responsibility, reversible building types
Twelve flats, including three «T10» flats, are let to the charity L’Arche, which supports people with intellectual disabilities. Designed for supervised shared accommodation, they incorporate a reversibility concept that will allow them to be converted into independent units in the future.

An environmental approach based on conservation and reuse
The cut-stone façade has been fully preserved, whilst a re-use initiative is making the most of materials recovered from the demolition, notably joinery, partition walls and cladding, in order to minimise the project’s environmental footprint.
