CoBe Finalist of the call for projects | Impasse Reille - Paris (14)

The project is located on a historic plot of land between Parc Montsouris and the Hôpital de la Santé in the heart of the 14th arrondissement. The plot of land on which the programme is located is a real haven of calm nature and is ideal for a change of scenery in the heart of the capital. The unusual chapel in the heart of the block is a surprise for the walker who discovers it at the bend in the cul-de-sac. The composition of the facades by the implementation of a common materiality is worked under several nuances. The work on the singularity of the openings is associated with the implementation of several frames corresponding to the various programmatic demands and well-defined systems of openings, offering a personality to each entity. The vertical division is intended to avoid the "large ensemble" effect. This sequencing principle helps to accentuate the verticality of the emergences in direct relation to the picturesque wood. To accentuate the verticals, the buildings are sequenced by modulating the openings. From the outside, this play of variation makes each façade unique from the dead end. The treatment of the facades, with brick in various shades, creates harmonious, durable and elegant surfaces.

Sustainable Materials The project integrates a double construction system: buildings with a concrete structure and buildings with a CLT wood structure on a concrete base. The project foresees the use of reused bricks, made from construction and demolition waste.
