The project at the corner of rue de Ridder and rue Vercingétorix consists of the restructuring and raising of 3 levels of a cramped building, with mixed tertiary uses, into a residence of 37 flats, the first building managed in Paris by the Samu Social.

In order to minimise the impact on the existing structure and floor area, it was decided to create a façade that would provide external insulation. The choice of a mineral facade in grey brick was followed in order to give visual solidity to the building and to fit back into its environment.

In order to respect the prospects, and to optimise the slenderness of the plot, the building has been raised by three additional levels of accommodation which rise in tiers above the existing six levels, thus freeing up large terraces around the communal living areas.

The dwellings are associated with common and shared premises: kitchen, refectory, offices, lounges, children's areas, laundry. A maximum number of units have an outdoor space, whether it be a terrace, a balcony or a small garden.
