The renovation project for the Petit Nanterre district gives Avenue de la République the status of a major thoroughfare. The contextual approach associated with the environmental requirements led us to work on an open block facing south with a large retail front on the ground floor.
The project is organised around an interior courtyard, whose mass of vegetation filters the light and creates an atmosphere of undergrowth, relayed by the planting of a few small trees with a graphic bearing and contrasting foliage. Japanese maples, azaleas, and ferns respond to this desire to create a canopy that enlivens the void in the courtyard. The design, nature and implementation of the façade components affirm its order and defin the contemporary image. The northern orientation of the main façade on the Avenue de la République guided the choice of the colour yellow, chosen for its luminosity, in a logic of light restitution. The dwellings are both compact and spacious, all crossing or bi-oriented beyond T2. Thus, the organisation of the family dwellings constitutes a new offre in terms of quality and comfort of life that meets contemporary aspirations.
