The project aims to improve a city centre site that has been neglected for many years. We worked with residents and experts on the issue of transport in order to design a project integrating the management of flows within the district, while restoring the place of nature.
The original parking area has been transformed into a pedestrian forecourt for a fairground market. Long ashlar steps have been created, linking the forecourt to a large esplanade. Large whistle-stop steps provide access to the future activities and shops on the ground floor for people with reduced mobility.
A garden evoking the presence of the Yerres has been designed below the departmental road. It offers a calm space animated by a few games and a fountain integrated into the steps.
