Renovation and conversion of a town house into 10 flats - Porto
In the heart of Porto, on the Place de Batalha, a former town house is being renovated by the CoBe Portugal agency. The aim of this initiative is to transform the interior of this building into a contemporary urban residence.

The development comprises 10 flats, ranging from loft apartments with mezzanine floors to one- and two-bedroom units. These are spread over the two main floors, while the smaller top floor is made up of lofts with mezzanine floors.
The renovation carefully preserves the original stairwell while highlighting the imposing ceiling heights. The façades have been completely restored without any alterations, and are now distinguished by the new colour recommended for Porto's historic buildings. The five shops on the ground floor have also been refurbished.
This renovation effort has succeeded in reconciling the preservation of the historic heritage with the creation of modern spaces.
