Cour Oasis - Saint-Denis (93)

Transforming a school playground into an oasis playground

The project presents the design of a school courtyard transformed into an «oasis courtyard», focusing on greening, inclusion and learning in nature. The aim is to maximise green space in response to global warming, with 69 % of the courtyard vegetated and 84 % of planting in the open ground, exceeding the required standards. The courtyard is divided into graduated zones (mineral to vegetation), incorporating a topographical system to manage rainwater and offering a diversity of landscapes and activities.

Areas dedicated to different age groups have been designed, including plant pockets and play areas. An educational garden allows pupils to grow plants, incorporating stages such as composting and greenhouse observation. This process links theoretical learning with practical experience, stimulating the senses and developing ecological awareness.
