Swimming pool forecourt - Aubervilliers (93)

Public spaces in the Fort d'Aubervilliers sector

As part of the Fort d'Aubervilliers urban development project led by Grand Paris Aménagement and CoBe, the forecourt is accessible to all. It now provides access to the new aquatic centre designed by the Chabanne agency and delivered as a training centre for the Paris Games, and will also provide access to the future station on line 15 of the Grand Paris Express.

The project features a border made up of over thirty medium and large trees designed to protect pedestrians from the flow of traffic on the neighbouring departmental road, as well as revegetating and desoiling the area. Part of this new planted area is located directly above metro line 7, which meant that a technical structure had to be taken into account from the outset.

The project is part of a complex timetable linked to the deadlines for delivery of the Paris Games, the renovation of Avenue Jean-Jaurès (RD932), the Fort d'Aubervilliers urban development project, and the future line 15 station of the same name.
The granite flooring has been finely laid out to create a clear hierarchy of spaces between the pool and the edge of the site.
