The expansion of the Massy bus station is an opportunity to reconnect all the uses on the site thanks to a footbridge that will be the new southern gateway to the Paris metropolis, acting as a real link between all the areas of the station hub. This work of art is both technical and symbolic, spanning the TGV platform thanks to a steel framework that combines visual lightness with a powerful structure.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Its shape pays homage to the design of a Japanese Torii, a traditional threshold marker here revisited by a white structure punctuated with red that lights up at night to emphasise its gesture in the urban landscape. Aesthetics aside, the primary aim of this project is to ensure safe use and total accessibility for everyone. All the buses in the Massy Atlantis sector are now grouped together in a new bus station that is accessible 24\/7, allowing pedestrians coming from the RER to access the platforms directly without ever crossing the road traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This facility is the perfect complement to the direct connection to the TGV station forecourt, thanks to a dedicated staircase and escalator, while integrating the historic footbridge to serve the old RER station from this new structure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
