As a place to live, work, study and develop economically, the Laherr\u00e8re hub contributes to the development of the Saragosse neighbourhood by creating a significant supply of housing for students and young workers, office space and training facilities, craft workshops, as well as local shops and services.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Accommodating shops, services and craft premises with a direct link to Place Laherr\u00e8re, the active pedestals operate independently in the two buildings. Each building has a generous double-height shared entrance hall for all the programmes on the upper floors, accessible via two major entrances located on the square, and fitted out by CoBe's Design department. A set of bespoke joinery frames, including letterboxes, has been created in the double-height lobby of the east residential building. In the office building, a reception desk in Landes pine and Arudy stone (Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es Atlantiques) was also custom-made for the entrance hall (photo below left).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We wanted to design homes with exemplary liveability, whose layout encourages tenants to feel at home, providing them with a sense of comfort and privacy. Particular attention was paid to the amount of light entering the homes, notably through the installation of large windows and generous ceiling heights of around 2.70 metres. The homes feature a fixed window measuring 195 cm high by 125 cm wide with no horizontal crossbars, allowing for maximum light and views. Attached to this window is a solid wood opening on a sill, concealed in the fa\u00e7ade (photo on the next page, bottom right).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The furnishings and decor of the homes have been created with the environment in mind. design thinking<\/em>. As a result, the homes here create an atmosphere close to that of a conventional flat: light colours, wooden furniture, yellow-painted kitchens and bathrooms, earthenware tiles and wall units, non-standard designer lighting and plenty of storage space.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
